Privacy Policy
Our website address is: http://iniquus.io.
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and we also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
We may provide an anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. You can read the Gravatar service Privacy Policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once we approve your comment, we display your profile picture publicly alongside your comment.
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images from the website and extract any location data they contain.
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. We do this for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data, and your browser discards it when you close it.
When you log in, we also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, the system keeps your login for two weeks. When you log out of your account, we remove the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, we save an additional cookie in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as it would if you visited that website directly.
Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with their embedded content, including tracking if you have an account and are logged in.
If you request a password reset, we include your IP address in the reset email.
If you leave a comment, we retain the comment and its metadata indefinitely. This lets us recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We may check visitor comments through an automated spam detection service.
